Taking to the road for the first time in SEC play last weekend, the Tigers finally pulled themselves out of their slump against the No. 8 Florida Gators. LSU lost Game 1 at Florida Ballpark 7-2, but it beat coach Kevin O’Sullivan’s side 27-6 on Saturday and Sunday to claim an away series against a top-10 opponent.
Now the Tigers (17-7, 3-3 SEC) have a bit of a tune-up before an Auburn team with an identical record comes to town. Before continuing to play in the SEC, LSU draws Louisiana-Monroe (8-13-1, 3-2-1 Sun Belt) Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium.
It’s been a tough season for the Warhawks, who have only won two weekends this year. One of them came at home against Georgia State last weekend.
ULM also has a rare tie on its resume, as its Game 3 against Coastal Carolina was canceled with the teams tied at 17 points.
LSU shouldn’t have any problems in this one, but Louisiana-Monroe will be looking to catch the Tigers napping in this one. Here’s everything you need to know to follow him, as well as the statistical leaders of each team.
